Welcome to Sierra Foothills Girls Lacrosse!

This has been in the works for some time and we are excited to provide the opportunity to keep our families within Sierra Foothills (SFLC). Girls lacrosse is a faced paced game like the boys play, but it is more a technical and finesse game, and less hitting. Come to our New Player clinics to learn more. We will have sticks available and other players for your kids to meet. If you have any questions email us at

For your information.

Fall new players clinic:  Sat and Sun October 13th & 14th as well as the  20th & 21st   from 9:30 - 11:30 am at Franklin grass fields.  This is just a low pressure way to get the girls together to check out the sport before you make the full commitment.    For more clinic details see this site.

Registration:  Is open! See the links on the navigation on this site.

Game schedule and season:  Practices tend to start in February with weekend games beginning in March and running through early May.  There is some overlap with basketball but usually not more than a few weeks.  However for those who are playing softball this would likely directly conflict.   Practices should be held local at one of the elementary schools like Franklin, HCP or Loomis Grammar.

Spring Season Dates:

Play Day kicks off the season the last weekend in February for 12U-14UB teams
Regular Season first weekend in March for 12U and up
Easter: no games
Mother’s Day: no games
Regular Season end: 12UB and 14UB Levels: regular season ends the Saturday before Mother's Day
End of Season Events: 12UB and 14UB: the third weekend in May.

Costs/equipment:  Not finalized yet but SFLC is always cost competitive. Equipment is Lax stick, eye protection, mouth guard, & cleats.   You can get sticks for as low as $35 on Amazon or Dick's Sporting Goods for example.

Age groups:  We are trying to field a new U10,  U12, possibly a U14 team if we can get  the interest.   Most of these girls will be new to the sport and that is perfectly OK and expected.  Others will have 1 or 2 years experience which will help balance it out.  Overall, we will all be learning and growing together.

Help: Please share this page or our Facebook page to get the word out.   We serve the entire foothills area up to Auburn and Newcastle. We are starting this up so if there any parents have either lacrosse  or coaching back grounds and want to help,  please let us know.  Or if you just want to help be a team manager,  scorekeeper or help with field set up, also let us know.
