Sierra Foothills Lacrosse Club is always looking for volunteers.  We currently have the following positions active in the club. Contact any of the existing Board Members if you are interested in being part of the club administration.

 

Position Descriptions:

 

Board Of Directors (Voting Positions):

 

        -  President 

  • Have general knowledge of club Lacrosse operations.
  • Provide timely, responsive assistance to all Sierra Foothills Lacrosse board members.
  • Communicate all Sierra Foothills Lacrosse correspondence to the club board.
  • Preside over meetings of the club.
  • Ensure Sierra Foothills Lacrosse is in compliance with club bylaws at all times.
  • Can serve as a director in a specific area of programs and operations.
  • Coach Coordinator - Training, documents (can be delegated as separate position listed below).

 

      - Vice President

  • Have general knowledge of Sierra Foothills Lacrosse operations.
  • Preside over meetings of the club when the President cannot be present.
  • Take over the responsibilities of the president when necessary.
  • Ensure Sierra Foothills Lacrosse is in compliance with club bylaws at all times.
  • Assist in the delegation of specific responsibilities to club board members to ensure seamless activity.
  • Can serve as a director in a specific area of programs and operations.
  • Arbiter confirmation for all teams.
  • Set up annual and special elections as needed.
  • Coordinate Annual Team Club Photos and sponsor plaques.
  • Coordinate Club Events (Hot Chili, Cool Cars; Thursday Night Family Fest; Eggplant Festival).
  • Email communication to club members.

 

      - Treasurer

  • Ideally the treasurer should be, by profession, a CPA.  If not, then an individual who has familiarity with financial and tax matters.
  • Prepared  financial statements, including an income statement and a balance sheet, in a format that accurately reflects the operations of the club.
  • Reconcile the bank or bank accounts of the club.
  • Prepare the tax returns, both federal and, as required, local tax returns on an annual basis.
  • Registrations, payment plans, scholarships, contracts, legal filings for corporation and non-profit, sponsorship.
  • Coordinate website and mobile app training for board and members.
  • Sponsor Banners and Website Logos.

 

      - Secretary

  • Draft agenda for meetings based on club activities and distribute copies to board and as needed at meetings. 
  • Coordinate meetings alongside the president.
  • Take minutes of all meetings and send to website coordinator to post on the club website.
  • Assist with compliance paperwork as needed.
  • Keep an updated list of chapter board members with contact information.
  • Keep a record of the club bylaws and any other historical documents.
  • Insurance for club and events.
  • Work closely with PR on all events and coordinating volunteers (calendar) (flyers).
  • Coordinate team player/parent meetings in early January for season kick-off.

 

      - Public Relations

  • Coordinate the purchase, sale, and distribution of team apparel and promotional items.
  • Coordinate the purchase, sale, and distribution of team uniforms.
  • Local Events (Parades etc.)
  • Club End Of Season Party.
  • Social networking: Facebook, Instagram etc.

 

 

General Board of Directors (Non-Voting Positions):

 

     - Field / Game Schedulers (2 needed)

  • Attend parks and recreation field meetings.
  • Submit school district field applications.
  • Coordinate with Auburn Fairgrounds for field use.
  • Work closely with game scheduler to finalize, readjust field use as needed.
  • Attend NCJLA field meetings in December.
  • Set up new facilities with NCJLA.
  • Coordinate with other clubs for times, game schedules and confirm through NCJLA.
  • Coordinate all other game and field changes throughout season.

     

      - Equipment/Field Maintenance Coordinator

  • Organize, inventory, maintain, purchase and distribute player equipment.
  • Set up and distribute coaches equipment at start of season.
  • Distribute goals out to fields at start of practice season.
  • Track and make sure we have everything returned at end of season.
  • Maintain field lining and goal set up as needed for practices and games.

 

      - Coach Coordinator

  • Recruit & retain qualified coaches for each age level and season.
  • Pre-season planning and program development.
  • Coordinate coach’s education including US Lacrosse Level education as well as PCA training.
  • Organize, Collect, Maintain and Submit all coaching requirements to NCJLA; distribute coaching tags.

 
      - Website Coordinator

  • Manage club website appearance including pictures, videos, articles and news.

 

      - Team Managers (1 per team)

  • Sending out 48 hour game confirmation notice for home games to visiting team.
  • Make sure our refs have confirmed games.
  • Entering game scores after each game on website.
  • Confirm Scorekeepers prior to games.
  • Manage team page on website including team photos/bios (recruiting a team photographer is recommended).
  • End of year party for team; shirts, trophies, coach gifts etc.
  • Emailing team reminders / notices from team page roster as needed.
  • Coach Items Inventory after each game (ice packs, cups, first aid, mouth guard, etc.)

 

      - Grants Coordinator

  • NCJLA
  • NorCal

 

      - Fundraising Coordinator

  • Coordinate and run two restaurant nights.
  • Coordinate and run one online fundraiser.
  • Coordinate and run one club fundraiser.

 

  •       - Scorekeeper Coordinator
  • Set up training during week before opening games.
  • Coordinate all Scorekeeper volunteers from each team after team meetings.
  • Help Team managers set-up.
  • Scorekeeper Schedule for home games.
  • Train Scorekeepers and Timekeepers for Season.
  • Recruit new scorekeepers if needed.
